The Water Quality Association presented Knox Williams with the highest honor, The Hall of Fame, at its recent annual convention. Knox served on the WQA board of directors for 34 years and also served on the PWQA board for many years.
Frank DeSilva was awarded The Regent's Award. A former president of PWQA, he helped guide our industry through California waters and other key Western states. Frank's highly respected reputation has been a great resource to WQA. And with it, he speaks from authority - educated in environmental science, and operating as national sales manager for ResinTech.
The Award of Merit was presented to Ted Jones, CWS-VI. Ted is a third generation in our industry and currently works as VP of North American Sales for Kinetico. He offers exceptional service to the industry and his involvement dates back to the eighties.
Kurt Peterson with Water Conditioning and Purification Magazine and Aqua Latinoamerica Magazine was honored with the Century Award for recruitment. The Century Award is given for recruiting at least 100 members to WQA in a lifetime. What keeps our industry strong and gives each of us new opportunity can be summed in one word: Knowledge. Kurt works very hard keeping us all informed.
The Award of Merit was given to Pete Conaty and Associates, Sacramento, CA. Pete serves as our official voice before the state government. His knowledge and reputation for integrity are legend in the state capital.
Congratulations to all the award winners!
